Formados en 1981 en Yorkshire (UK), The Burial fue una banda de clase obrera que combinaba una explosiva mezcla de Punk, Ska y Soul. Grabaron una demo de 4 temas en 1983 y metieron dos de esos temas regrabados para la ocasión en el icónico recopilatorio "The Oi! of sex" (Syndicate Records, 1984). Animados por sus apariciones en revistas como Sounds o Red Action, la banda continuó con su actividad, apareciendo en dos recopilatorios más: "Oi! glorious Oi!" (Link Records, 1987) y "The sound of Oi!" (Link Records, 1987). Y luciendo su actitud elegante y rebelde estuvieron dando conciertos por todo el Reino Unido. Grabaron su primer y único álbum "A day on the town" durante 1988 y finalmente fue editado en el sello subsidiario de Link Records (Skank Records) a principios de 1989, disolviéndose la banda poco después de eso. Los otros dos temas de su demo de 1983 ("Backstreet Child" y "I can't forget") permanecieron olvidados hasta 1997, cuando se incluyeron en el recopilatorio "Oi! the demos" (Captain Oi!, 1997) junto a otras bandas como Skin-Deep, The Crack, Subculture, ABH, Crux o Angelic Upstarts. Todos los temas han sido remasterizados para su mejor calidad de sonido en 'Rana Studios' durante invierno de 2021. Edición limitada a 500 copias, 400 de ellas en vinilo negro que además incluyen un poster A3 de regalo. 4 temas!
